Born and raised in Hammond, Louisiana, Tim attended Louisiana State University for his undergraduate studies before receiving his law degree from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans. Upon graduating from law school, Tim joined Murphy Rogers in 2008 and later became a director with the firm.
Tim’s practice focuses on maritime litigation, including maritime collisions, allisions, casualty investigations, personal injury/death defense, cargo and charter party disputes, marine insurance coverage issues and maritime contract disputes. He also handles a significant amount of civil and commercial litigation, including casualty litigation, construction litigation, and successions.
Tim has passed Modules 1 and 2 of the International Group of Protection and Indemnity Clubs P&I Qualification (P&IQ) Program. He is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States and the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute. He is also a member of the Louisiana, Federal, New Orleans and 21st JDC Bar Associations, and Lambda Chi Alpha. Tim served as New Orleans Port Director for SEALI from 2018-2020, and he also volunteers with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project. For the years 2021 and 2022, Tim has been named to the Best Lawyers list in the area of Admiralty and Maritime Law.
